The annual Advanced Elder Law Masters Series program took place at the Turkey Run Inn August 12 – 13, 2022. Nestled in the shadows of sandstone deep canyons and groves of hemlocks, it was a tranquil backdrop for a productive, relaxing and enjoyable time.
This year’s topics focused on these major areas: Medicaid Case Processing During and After the Public Health Emergency, Medicaid’s Response to Spousal Income Support Orders, The Secure Act 2.0 and Retirement Accounts and Planning, Estate Recovery and Probate Administration Issues, and Estate Planning and Elder Law Updates. Discussion leaders for this year’s event were Dennis Frick, Jamie Harvey, Michael Wilhelm and Rebecca Geyer.
In addition to the education, other activities included hiking, yoga, a hosted reception and breakfast together on Saturday morning. Many practitioners brought family members and guests to make a nice long weekend. We also were joined by two participating exhibitors, Krause Financial Services who were represented by David Currie, and Bambiz Online Marketing for Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorneys who were represented by Jim Blake. A wonderful time was had by all!
